Airport Operations
Under Civil Aviation Authority rules, Queenstown Airport operates between 06:00 and 22:00 daily. Air New Zealand, Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Australia are currently the only airlines certified by the regulators to operate after-dark.
Aircraft operations at Queenstown Airport are subject to our standard Aeronautical Conditions of Use which set out the terms under which you may use the airport and detail the relevant aeronautical charges.
Any operations of aircraft not on regular air transport operations with a Maximum Certified Takeoff Weight (MCTOW) of 5700kg or greater can only be undertaken once you have submitted a Movement Request form and gained approval from Queenstown Airport Corporation.
